Russ's Journey to Losing 100 pounds!



We are celebrating RUSS. He has been with us at CrossFit Complete for a little over a year and has LOST 100 pounds!

Russ has been the picture of consistency and determination over the past year. His effort and energy inspire others, and his hunger to grow and improve daily has molded him into a different person!

Russ, man... We are so proud of you and so grateful for all the hard work you have put in.

"On June 27 th 2022 I weighed in at 295lbs. I was on blood pressure and cholesterol medications and having to utilize a CPAP machine to sleep at night. My jean size was 42 inches in the waist and I was well over 35% body fat. I needed to find my motivation to fix myself, but it is sometimes difficult to know where to start… or how to go about lifestyle changes. I reached out to fellow CrossFit Complete member Denver Russell who I work with in the same department at work. Denver started mentoring meon what I needed to do to get started. He assisted me with a meal plan and we started going to the gym last summer. My weight began to drop slowly but steadily. I have been meal prepping every Sunday breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the last year.

In December, after talking with Denver, I joined CrossFit Complete and it was the absolute best decision I could have made. I have embraced the CrossFit program and culture over the last 7 months and have lost just over 100lbs. since I started my fitness journey. I averaged 7.8lbs. weight loss per month and I am down 9 inches on my waist. In April I was able to come off the medications and am now able to sleep at night without the use of a CPAP machine.


I appreciate how encouraging and motivating the Coaches and Members are here, and the

flexible class times throughout the day allow me to attend when my work schedule gets busy. I have made CrossFit Complete Midwest City a part of my daily life and am better for it. My new goals for the rest of the year is to prepare myself to participate in the next CrossFit OPEN and complete all

the scaled movements.


I would like to give a shout out to CrossFit Complete member Denver Russell, who

without his encouragement and motivation over the course of my journey. I would not have accomplished this fitness milestone without him. Thank You Denver!
